Not Your Average Daily Stroll
So, this is new to me, but have you heard about The Fat Man Walking across America to lose weight? I thought the days of troupers like Terry Fox, Rick Hansen, and Forrest Gump (the fat man refers to himself as Forrest Lump) were gone.
It is nice to know that there are people out there who are pursuing their dreams, goals, and visions in order to better themselves, achieve their goals, and to inspire others to do the same.
So far, The Fat Man Walking, Steve Vaught, has over 100,000 internet followers, which would be a dream of mine :), but I'd like them to be loyal viewers whereas his viewership will probably diminish emmensely once he's completed his goal. Regardless, his site lists a journal that his wife is penning for him, a map of where he is relative to where he's planning on ending up, pictures, and an email address to provide support. There is also a site called www.fatmanwalking.com/ which is not the same, but is about a guy trekking across the appalachans.
Steve Vaught, has travelled 746 miles. Vaught has approximately 2074 miles to go, so I think he's gone a good stretch already; and with that much mileage under him, he's likely to go the distance.
Congrats on how far you've gone and keep up the inspiring trek.
