Unbelievably Stupid and Cruel

Some days I just can't believe stories I read. This story of a 4 year old child wandering on a Washington DC highway is such an example. The story is not an innocent situation of a boy running away form home carrying a bag full of toys. Something far more sinister happened on this highway.

The mother of the boy allegedly kicked her son out left to fend for himself on a busy highway. What kind of wacko mother would do such a thing?! Any child on a highway is just not safe, let along a FOUR YEAR OLD BOY. Yes, I know the frustration of a cranky child in the back of a car after hours stuck in traffic (if this was even the case) but to abandon the boy on the highway is unbelievablely stupid.

I too remember being put out of the car for acting inappropriately by my father, but on a dirt road off a town with a population smaller than the average screening of a Ben Affleck and J Lo film. His car would follow behind at a small distance, while I was made to walk home for a few minutes. Far from being dangerous, this road was probably traveled more by deer than vehicles. Mind you, I was a lot older than this four year old boy and probably plenty smart enough to know how I was acting would have me walking in the first place.

So did this stupid mother come to her senses and realize her actions and quickly let the boy back into the car? Certainly not! When the child attempted to get back in the car, she hit him with the car - SICK. SICK. SICK! Of course, this was an "accident" according to the mother. Yeah I bet, an "accident". I'd like to show her an "accident" or two. If she was so concerned about her "accident", why didn't she call for emergency help or flag down another motorist! She took off, and was only discovered to be the mother of the boy after having an accident herself later that night on another interstate. Fortunately, the child walked away with only cuts and bruises and the situation could have been far worse. Look, woman, if you can't handle having a child then give the child up for adoption instead!

When we have stories like the Torres baby, whom doctors are doing everything within their power to ensure a baby has a fighting chance, stories like this one just make my blood boil even more.

What is wrong with some people in this world?

Bring back branding I say. People like this who would treat children like that should be branded on one cheek, or on the forehead with a big "A" for abuse, or "C" for child abuse.

Make it a C- for crack. I haven't heard any more on this story but by the name of the woman, and the area this occurred in it seems likely to me. You know what they say about assuming though; making an ass out of u and me, and in this case just me. & LMAO @ Samantha---"but on a dirt road off a town with a population smaller than the average screening of a Ben Affleck and J Lo film"
