Food and Drink

Why are yummy things bad for us? Why isn't beer slimming?

yum, beer! Nice blog you got here.

Funny you should ask. A knowledgeable friend was just telling me a few minutes ago that the very worst type of sugar is in beer. Maltose, it seems, is the worst at quickly spiking your blood sugar. That causes fat storage, a quick sugar crash, and is hard on your system. The reason for the "Beer Belly!"

What do you mean beer isn't slimming? I mean, look at the commercials with all those trim bodies whirling around with beer bottles in their hands- what? You mean those girls don't drink lots of beer?

Beer is slimming, you just have to drink a ton of it. I believe the technical term is "Barley Induced Bulimia."
