Supreme Court Nominations

With all the angst about Bush's pick to the Supreme Court, I thought I'd share some alternatives should GWB want to reconsider his selection.

Some nominations I would consider for Supreme Court appointment:

Judge Dredd (we'd get things accomplished - with a vengence) (thanks Chris for correction)

Judge Judy (there's nothing like a "take no prisoners" attitude)

Judge Reinhold (you may be asking who? It's Brad Hamilton of Fast Times at Ridgemont High)

Judge Jessica Simpson (ah ya, Ms. Miers isn't looking so bad now is she?)

Judge Jerry Springer (every day you'd get to here the chant, "Jerry, Jerry, Jerry")

Judge Tammy Faye Bakker (last name is now Messner - every court session would be followed by tears and running make-up - guaranteed to keep media attention on what's going on in the courts)

Judge Yoda (mmmm... formed in reverse sentence order, arguments would be)

Judge Dredd. I hate to nitpick, but it was my favorite comic book. ;-)

Any of these suggestions would be better than what Bush has proposed.

Wouldn't it make sense that a supreme court judge would have to be a judge?

I'm Canadian - we tend to do it that way here.

I rather like Judge Dredd too. Actually some of the best USSC justices had no judicial experience before their appointment.
While Miers would not have been my first choice, I would prefer to give her the benefit of the dount...for now.

What about Ann Coulter?!! She would be awesome as a judge, especially the Cheif Justice.

Ann Coulter.. sounds familiar. Is she related to Ricky-Lee Coulter? Probably not.

Personally, I'd like to see Arnie up there. He'd sort out the boys from the girle-men!

BTW Is there something you could do to identify your posts (i.e. Samantha) vs those of Mr Big? It's confusing to read the changing literary styles and perspectives and having to scroll to the end to find out who is writing each post.
How about pink and blue text?

Or simply starting your post with your initials, like so (using this post as an example):

"SB: With all the angst about Bush's pick to the Supreme Court, I thought..."

Or "MB:.." for Mr Big.
And isn't it time to change Mr Big to something more hip, more with the times? 'Mr Big' reminds me of that annoying Sex & The City show. Gawd, I could feel my brain cells dying just hearing an ad for the show from another room..

Judge Karl Elvis.

It's time for a REAL change.

There's always Judge Nelson and Judge Hirsch.

And, of course, Ashley, Wynnona and the mom.
