Calling All Holiday Guest Bloggers
I am looking for people who are interested in writing Christmas goodies or New Years entertainment on my blog. But, if you have something non-seasonal that you'd like to share, I'm open to receiving that as well.
I will be needing the articles rather soon, so only enlist if you can send me something before December 22nd. I would like to start getting some articles up on my blog around mid-next week, so if you can send me something sooner, that would be great.
If you are interested in being a guest blogger, here is the information:
1. Be humorous or at least Christmasy or New Yearsy in a non- puke-our-guts-up way.
2. Accept that I may make any changes and corrections I desire to your article being that it is my site; however, I will consult you if the changes are what I consider significant. Typically - too lazy to care, really, so don't fret.
3. Accept that the timing, ordering, and logical position is at my discretion. Wait. Logical? My discretion? Since when have I done any logical planning, lol?
4. Accept that an editorial review process of posted facts does not exist. If you make up a fact, at least be convincing or have previous work experience at the New York Times.
5. Accept the same creative commons license as I give to my fellow patrons and give all appropriate credits when due.
And, of course, you must be able to accept that you will not be getting paid for this other than by, perhaps, getting onto Santa's "nice" list. I do link and support the bloggers who post articles and allow them to cross post, so hopefully that can make it up as a reward for writing on this site.
If you are interested in blogging on my site, please let me know by email or post a comment here stating that yes, you are in fact interested in either writing a Christmas post or New Years post, or non-seasonal if you're interested. Read the FAQ for the email address if you can't guess it.

Does this mean you'll have other people writing your blog over the holidays, so that you can have a holiday while others slave over a hot pen/keyboard scribbling/pecking out cheery holiday stories? That's awesome, I've got to get someone else to write my blog! What's the going rate for a biographer these days? :-) You think A&E is available?

Bah humbug... I'll be sitting on my roof with my shotgun handy... I'm gonna git me ole satan claus yet... I hear them reindeer oysters are mighty tasty!

saskboy - lol, there's a good thought I didn't consider. Actually, I want the articles in prior to the holiday because I know people get too busy during the holiday to write for others. So, the earlier the better.
Stop Hurting America - ya, that's the spirit I'm looking for. Interested in writing? lol.

How long does the article have to be? If it's only a few paragraphs I can pound out some drivel or hard hitting sob story in a matter of minutes [and take an hour to nitpick over it, and fret until it is perfect].

saskboy - as long or short as you choose. And, give us some of that good ol' Canadian flair while you're at it, lol.
