Ee-ew!
Hat Tip: Boxing Alcibiades
Well, ew to me, anyhow.
I have never been to Japan, so I really don't know what kinds of foods are eaten there. The only knowledge of it all is in what I read about or see on tv basically.
And, recently I read about something that sounds so delightful.
Not fish tacos, but fish sausage.
Oh, what a treat! And, they come in several flavours including Strawberry milk (ya, fish with a lactose taste), Tuna grits, Chilli pepper, Cod ovum, Pork, Sardine, and Fruit and Vegetable.
Apparently, the public interest in the product declined (gee, no kidding) for about 30 years and is now resurfacing after all of their mad cow scares. Hmmm... I think I'll take my chances with a mad cow thanks.
Delish.

I knew there was a reason I felt a little uncomfortable in Japan. It isn't the crowds, the bad pop music pumped into the streets, or the seemingly endless theory that advertising should permeate everything around you. It's their freakish love of the fish. Once fish parts and flavoring are in your candy, coffee and now your sausage, it's a sure sign that the end is near.
I hope that "bitch is funny" wasn't too much. It was purely out of love.

Rob - Like I said at your site, I agree, this bitch is funny, lol. No worries, I know it was not said in bad taste or with spite.

Reminds me of the Iron Chef episode when someone made fish ice cream (garnished with fried fish skin). Those wacky Japanese chefs.

Iron Chef, exactly! I've seen them make squid ink sorbet too. Makes ya salivate just thinking about it...
It's funny, I'd say you could never call them unoriginal - except the fortune teller judge routinely does.
Sam - great blog! I linked in from NorthAmericanPatriot.
