Sissies, I Mean Celebrities

It seems celebrities are turning chicken to entertaining the troops overseas.
A main reason they fear keeping the tradition alive is due to the moonbat, protester freaks and the political stance of the whole situation.
Rather than seeing to it that they give the troops a good holiday show, they are tucking their tails and running from the whole thing simply because of the whole anti-war cr*pola.
And, b*llsh*t that it's about the dangers of being over there.
WWII was one of the worst wars fought, and did you see wimpy celebs?
H*ll no.
You saw some of the greats like Marlene Dietrich, Duke Ellington, Judy Garland, Bing Crosby, the Marx Brothers, and of course, Bob Hope go over there and support the troops. Whether you're a celeb who supports the war or not, there's no reason strong enough for you to chicken out of supporting the troops who are there for YOU!
What a pitiful bunch today's Hollywood celebs are.
I mean, that's fine if you really have a viewpoint that you've stuck to in the long run, but if you're just jumping on the bandwagon and are pussyfooting it because you're fearful of losing you celebrity status, then that's just lame.
Flat out, lame.

They just don't make entertainers like they used to.

My nephew lost an arm and had other severe injuries in Iraq. He is currently in Walter Reed Hospital. I was very pleased to find out there are celeberties visiting him and other injured soliders. Fleetwood Mac, Stevie Nicks, and others. Read about it here.

They've been running the Bob Hope USO Christmas tours recently on the Military Channel. Hell, Bob and his troops went to Da Nang, not your cushiest vacation resort at that time. I think it's great that Fleetwood Mac took the time to visit your nephew but Walter Reed is a far cry from where the majority of the soldiers are. I have to agree with Sam on this- LAME!

Out of fairness, it should be pointed out that both Al Franken and Robin Williams have been touring with the USO in Iraq and Afghanistan. They have also been outspoken critics of both Bush and the Iraq war. I should also remind you that it was Osama bin Laden who killed almost 3000 Americans on 9-11, NOT Saddam Hussein. In fact, there were zero Iraqis among the hijackers. So yes, I feel there is some merit to the argument that Bush invaded the wrong country.

If Marilyn Monroe heard this, she would be spinning in her grave!

One more comment, this one to Lugossi,
Disagreeing with Bush or the war is no reason to not support the troops that are forced to be there.
Think about it, "I don't agree with Bush so fuck all you young Americans risking your life."
Real nice.
