Okiedokie
I was visiting Okiedoke's place and thought I'd take him up on a challenge he gave me.
So, in order to win an honorary blogroll spot as an Okie supporter, I have been asked to come up with a post that any Okie would love, and this is my attempt.
First of all, I'd like to mention a few cool similarities between Oklahoma and Canada: you have the Tulsa Oilers and we have the Edmonton Oilers hockey team, you have a hockey team called the Oklahoma City Blazers and we have the Kamloops Blazers, and you have Ben Johnson the actor while we have Ben Johnson the athlete (although ours has a more negative name for himself).
And, let's not forget that Joe Redington is the proclaimed father of the Iditarod dog sled race, and Canadians are believed to use dogsleds daily to get to work. And, speaking of cold weather, we have the Canadian Yukon territory and you have both Canadian County and Yukon city.
And, there are many things an Okie should be proud of, like Brad Pitt is from Oklahoma (claimed one of the sexiest men alive, which means Okie men must be d*mn fine, right?), Chuck Norris, Mr. a$$ kicker himself is an Oklahoma native, and you have innumerable other celebrities, singers, and sport stars that come from your wonderful state.
I was also playing around and came up with this:

So, am I in?
UPDATE: Accepted! And, as I stated at Okiedoke's, I will try to learn more about Oklahoma in my daily life as honorary Okie.

Since it seems you know more about Oklahoma than I do, how can I refuse? (There's even talk about establishing a shrine in your honor on the Canadian River.)
Kudos, sister.

Will Rogers came from Oklahoma or at least what became Oklahoma. Best compliment would be that Oklahoma is not Nebraska.

You're in. That is on one condition: you supply us some of those wonderful wild blueberries in season this summer.

I thought of another thing... Canada has a city called Edmondton, and Oklahoma has a city called Edmond.
I've only lived in Oklahoma for three years... I still have a lot more to learn about it.
