The Blogs Of Summer Awards
For those unaware, Bloggin Outloud is hosting the Blogs of Summer Awards.
The first link is the category I'm under, nominated by 123beta and third world county, and the second link is the nominations page where you can select up to 5 blogs in each category.
The categories are
1) Chick & Mommy Blogs
2) Humor & Satire Blogs
3) Milblogs/Military Support Blogs
4) Random Blogs That Don't Fit a Category
5) Kitty Kat Blogs (And Other Pets too!)
6) Political Blogs (Or Something Close)
And, I'm only a little surprised I got in under the humor & satire category considering the rules specifically state no vulgar blogs accepted.
It must be all those * symbols I use to cover my vowels. Nobody knows that I'm really swearing when I do that, right?
So, go ahead and nominate away until this Sunday. Monday is the beginning of the voting, so I'll probably be writing on this again and promoting the sites I know, enjoy, and maybe even some I want to get to know.

No vulgar blogs. So that is why I haven't been able to get into these events.
I'll still vote for you Sam.

Oh shot, I thought you knew, Butch.
Peemil - lol, ya that might be it, that or your tantalising pics on occasion, lol. And, thanks.

Too funny. I did let your nomination stand, however. So you're in the Humor/Satire category. I know I'm a prude, so please have fun at my expense - lol - but at least send traffic and have people vote for you! lol

PS, you know I appreciate you. You have the best active open track back association that I know of. In fact, you are the only active open track back associattion that I know of, but you're still the best in my book. And I'm glad to be a part of it. I have many Monday and Friday regulars at FBO because of you. Thanks again for playing along with the Blogs of Summer - all in good fun. lgp

Just to prevent any one from thinking I was attempting to cheat, I nominated you... but didn't write anything this week. You know, so people don't assume I'm really just voting for myself.
Speaking of promoting... I know someone in the Chick & Mommy Blogs category..

I just nominated you Sam in the Humor category just cuz you the bestest!

Lyn - thanks for letting me slide, lol. And, thanks for the compliment on the OTA; I need to clean that sucker up at some point hopefully soon, I see some slackers on there not posting weekly like they should.
Lilo, Lost in Lima Ohio, from the lost in lima ohio blog, in the chick & mommy blog category, good luck to you. And, let me guess, because next week is the voting, you aren't writing anything for me then either, you know, to keep the voting fair. Don't cheat now, lol.
Layla - no you the bestest.

Actually, I thought I would write something this weekend, and since I already nominated my choices, it would no longer reflect on the fact that I also write here (sometimes... when I can... or at least I try to write here... as much as I can... darn, I mean to be better at this writing here thing, I really do... hey you should come write at my place sometime) Then next week during voting, it won't count cause I won't be writing at the same time I am voting.

Cool, Lilo, that works for me as excuses for NOT CHEATING. Lol.
Thanks for the invite. I would be very interested in trying my hand at writing in a different style from my stuff all the time. That is, if you want me to keep the same "feel" that you have at your blog. Then, you can let me know if I sucked at serious writing and should keep my day-night-whenever-I-have-time blog.
You know, I'm just grateful when I get to read and post something you've handed me. It certainly isn't expected continuously since life happens, so I hope you don't feel too bad about not writing as much as you would like to. And, I understand it because I feel a bit bad from time to time when I can't keep up with all the thing I want to do with blogging.
Life gets busy, and sometimes I'd rather just be watching tv.
