Don't Eat It; It's Bad For You
You know how they say that if you can't pronounce the ingredients in a food product, then you shouldn't eat it.
Poly-glucos-dextros-faxtosomate. Or, rasio-ply-mascanomide.
Whatever.
Well, I've gone out of my way to learn all the bad ingredients in my favourite foods. So that means I can eat them, right?

Someday you'll eat those words, young lady.
At least you hope so, right?

I pronounce all those words perfectly. They all sound like "chicken."

Do they actually still say that in Canada? I have a theory that everywhere on Earth except the US, it's about 1975. A lot of the stuff you need to live is kind of hard to say, like the B vitamins and stuff.

Actually, I've heard it on tv. US tv, no less.

You can safely eat anything with one syllable: meat, pork, fish, milk, eggs, bread, fruit, beets, grapes, etc.
Some two-syllable foods are ok: chicken, cherries, etc.
The further you get away from one syllable the more unlikely that it is good for you. As in all rules, there are exceptions: pomegranate, for example.
As for manufactured products, if it has more than 4 ingredients I don't buy it. Also if I'm buying something called chicken noodle soup, chicken or noodles should be the first ingredient.
