Server Woes
If you tried to get in to my place yesterday and were rejected, it's not because I don't love you - I still do.
I switched to a new server host not too long ago, and at first they were fine, but now, they suck donkey balls. So, I'm going to have to move yet again, and hopefully find a place that actually does their job, and does their job well.
Since just about nobody got in yesterday to read my stuff, I'm reposting it today, and hopefully we'll get more Moron of the Week guesses, as well as people checking out the links and seeing all that fun stuff I posted yesterday.
This post will remain on top today; scroll down for more Sam.

Sam,
I have Host Gator. About $10 per month and I get buttloads of server space (5 gig) and throughput (75 gig per month). look at the "baby" option.
They have 24/7 PHONE support, real people, not voicemail.

I thought the terrorist - or Bill Clinton - had finally gotten to you.

Genius that I am, I was sitting last night thinking "Why didn't I guess on Moron earlier?" Forgot about not being able to get here all day yesterday. :-)

I was using BoundGrid, but found out they sucked (so there is one not to use). Then I switched to Storm Hosts... and they've rocked... even when I've had problems. And after my BoundGrid experience, I now know that you can't know how good a provider is until you've interacted with their tech support department.

Hey Sam,
I could swear I saw your picture in a Power Point presentation, showing a page from an Italian or Spanish language textbook.
They may have stolen your pic!
All the best with the server issues.

Thanks for the advice, but I have to use a VPS which is more expensive than a regular hosting and I prefer to use a Canadian hosting.
There are special scripts that do some fancy things on this page and I'm not much of a PHP person to be able to convert them to a web-friendly scripting language from C++. It's not my C++ that's going bonkers, its the VPS server which is rather annoying.

I'm thinking about getting them. I've heard good things, and they seem to be pretty damn fast.
