It doesn't pay to be dishonest

Well wouldn't it be nice to get some free extra cash? Yeah it sure would, but not like this! Some boneheads actually kept the extra cash, now they could be prosecuted for not being honest!

An ATM at a northwest Louisiana truck stop gave out $20 bills instead of $5s, but authorities say they know who took the extra $7,000 the machine spit out and plan to track them down.

DeSoto Parish sheriff's Lt. Toni Morris said the automated teller machine has records showing 26 people who received the extra cash during five days in late June and early July.

Annette Parker, a supervisor at Eagle's Truck Stop, said she unplugged the machine after overhearing conversations about the excess payments.

"The next morning when we had come back in, someone had plugged it back up," she said.

Morris said someone who did not work at the truck stop may have rigged the machine, which keeps records of when the money was taken and by whom.

Morris said charges could be brought against the people who got more money than they were debited for.

It just doesn't pay to be dishonest! Now maybe..............nah never mind!

    Poodle and Identity Theft

    poodles-miniature

You heard it here, remember that! Yes, a poodle and identity theft. Did you ever think something like this could really happen? Well it did, and you are not imagining a thing!

I call this insanity du jour!

A prize-winning poodle from North Wales has become the latest victim of online identity theft.

Details of the two-year-old poodle, named Afonwen Welch Fusilier, were posted on the internet by proud owner Lynne Day who was keen to show off her dashing hound.

But a crook pilfered the details from the site and is passing the dog off as his own, according the the North Wales Post.

He claims that Afonwen Welch Fusilier - pet name Blue - has given birth to puppies, despite the real dog being male.

And the mystery man, who calls himself Henry Daf and whose registered address turns out to be a Glasgow graveyard, is touting the phantom pups to potential buyers for £1,000 each.

The scam was spotted by Annette Connolly-Read, of Hounslow, London, who was looking for a poodle on a dog sellers’ website and came across the mystery Afonwen pups.

Blue last year won at the Midlands Counties Canine Society Show and the North West Poodle Club, and competed unsuccessfully at Crufts.

North Wales Police are investigating the scam.

Poodle profiling - poodle identity theft, all in a days work. Pooh - pooh!

    Blog Whores

    ZZZsssss.....

Some of you for sure may not like this, but it is something we all need to talk about. Blog whores. I can hear you now saying, "What the hell is a blog whore?"

You have all met or come across a blog whore at one time or another. A blog whore can be female or male it really does not matter, because they do the very same things - make trouble - accuse - get touchy - don't like how you wrote this or that - call you names, even vile names sometimes - I believe you get the drift.

How many times have you thought you wrote a masterpiece just to have some blog whore come by and tell you that you write like shit? Or that you are a whore, because you think every man or woman having an affair is not only wrong, but are bimbos?

These blog whores always stick around like leaches and when they cannot attack what you write, they attack your grammar or scrutinize your spelling. They will tell you about every "t" you did not cross and every "i" you did not dot. Simply put, blog whores are pains in the asses.

Don't you just hate it when a blog whore visits your site or if you do not have a blog, but comment on blogs and you find a nutty comment left by a blog whore?

Most of you are like me, we ignore it. I will delete the comment if the blog whore is exceptionally hateful, but most times I will leave it up and ignore it, which they completely hate. Being ignored to a blog whore is like taking a baby bottle away from a crying baby.

There have been several times when I was tempted to tell the blog whore off - as I am sure you have been, but we know that is a waste of time. Telling a blog whore off is encouraging their disgusting behavior and bad attitude.

You can never change the mind of a blog whore - it is set like flint. A blog whore will never be talked out of their views or ways of seeing things - so it's best not to try. These are the little blog whores that run around disagreeing with everyone and their mother just for the hell of it. Their food is a blog or post that is totally abstract to their ideology.

So what choices do we have to deal with the blog whores?

    1) Ban them.
    2) Ignore them.
    3) Remind them we are not pimps for their trash.

Or lastly, like me, be bold and write a post on blog whores. Hopefully that will shut them up for the time being - if not - drink lattes and read this blog!

    Busted

    Lindsay Lohan

Well Lindsay Lohan has done it again. Busted that is for drunk driving and within weeks of her first bust.

Looks like rehab really worked for her - not.

Lindsay Lohan was arrested in the Los Angeles area early on Tuesday on suspicion of drunken driving and cocaine possession, just days after she completed a 45-day rehabilitation program, authorities said.

The 21-year-old star of "Mean Girls" -- already facing a drunken-driving charge following a car crash in Beverly Hills two months ago -- was pulled over in the coastal city of Santa Monica shortly after midnight.

Police said they had received a report of a car chase and that Lohan and two companions were in the pursuing vehicle. A police spokesman said he believed the people in the two cars knew each other.

Lohan was taken into custody after failing a field sobriety test. Police said she registered a blood-alcohol level of about 0.12, well above the California limit of 0.08.

Lohan was booked on suspicion of drunken driving, possession of cocaine, bringing a controlled substance into custody and driving on a suspended license.

She was released after posting a $25,000 bond, a police spokesman said.

    And then there is this:

Just last Friday, Lohan turned herself in to Beverly Hills police to face charges of drunken driving in connection with a May 26 car crash.

In that case, she lost control of her Mercedes-Benz sports car and drove into a hedge. She then left the scene. Police said at the time they also found a small amount of what they believed to be cocaine in the car.

The incident followed months of hard partying by the actress, who had been a regular at Hollywood nightspots and attending Alcoholics Anonymous programs for a year despite having turned 21 -- the legal age for drinking in the United States -- only this month.

Immediately after the crash in May, Lohan checked herself into a Malibu rehab center for the second time in a year. She left earlier this month and now wears an alcohol monitoring bracelet on a voluntary basis, her spokeswoman said.

What do you say about someone that appears to have it all and keeps screwing up?

I know what I say. DUMMIE!

    PERVs don't whine about tipping

    PERV

It has been awhile PERVs since our last meeting so I have decided to have one today. You will not believe how out of hand these vegetarian's are becoming. I am shocked - simply shocked!

Vegetarians are rethinking tipping. Leave it to them to think up this one. It is not enough they expect their food kept separate from the normal food, they are now whining about tipping:

This is an article about tipping in restaurants. It occurred to me that this subject needed to be addressed among vegetarians because I had noticed so many times that waiters (both men and women) serving vegetarians were being shortchanged.

I have seen it happen both in vegetarian restaurants, and in non-vegetarian restaurants when people ordered vegetarian food. What spurred me to write something was a recent experience on a New York trip when I had dinner in a vegetarian restaurant with two middle-aged couples (with comfortable lifestyles), who got up from the table and left a total of $2.00 as their tip. We had had a pleasant and inexpensive meal, and we had occupied the table for over an hour.

It costs waiters in vegetarian restaurants just as much for living expenses as people serving food in any other restaurant. I have thought for a long time now that it did not seem fair that these waiters, who are willing to work in a place that promotes good health (and, intentionally or not, compassion for animals, and a healthier environment), should end up with less compensation for their labors than people working in places which do not promote such values

    .

Oh boo hoo. What about compassion for all the veggies they are eating? We know veggies feel pain, but do they care? No! They are worried about their tipping in restaurants. How selfish! And they are so cheap too!

In my opinion, at today's prices, someone should leave a minimum tip of $3.00 - $3.50 (per person) for dinner, no matter how inexpensive the tab. It is tough enough for vegetarian restaurants to afford rent and utility costs when they are competing with traditional places --let's not have those willing to work there make half or a third of what someone makes at restaurants serving expensive, but unhealthy food.

Can you believe the reasoning for being so cheap? I am appalled. It is tough enough for vegetarian restaurants to afford rent and utility costs when competing with traditional places? Yeah right! Maybe they should just do us all a favor and get out of business. They are ruining our vegetable supply anyways!

You know, when I go out to eat in a restaurant I always leave a minimum of $5.00 as a tip if my total is ten dollars or less, more if it is higher. And mind you I leave the tip for the waiter or waitress's hard work. After all, it is not easy work and can you imagine waiting on a picky vegetarian? OMG! They should receive an award for putting up with all the veggie smells.

I love my meat and I don't eat my veggies. All I have to say to these cheap tippers is in your face and I know you smell that steak! Ah....................and it smells soooooooo, soooooooooooo, good!

Now the author of this ridiculous article does say at the very end:

The irony is that often the service people working at vegetarian events must work harder to prepare food that they are not familiar with and need to spend more time learning about new dishes. They really deserve more in tips, not less!!! If we can afford to eat out, we can afford decent tips.

Work harder - deserve better tips, hmmm, that does not jive with a low $3.00 - $3.50 tip suggestion. But then what do you expect from a vegetarian?

They are making all our veggies become extinct! You know what happens to a meat deprived brain don't you?

It grows sprouts! UGH.....I really do not want to think about it, how scary!

This PERV meeting is in honor of Sam! So lets all go out and buy a pound of beef, pound it, then cook it up! Yummy!

    VIVA LA PERV!

    Meeting Adjourned.

    Previous PERV meetings.

Ding dong the witch is back

Ding dong the witch is back!

Ding dong the witch is back and this time she is decrying about impeachment of President Bush and her promise to run against House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

Does this deranged woman really believe anyone would vote for her? Of course she does in the sick mind she lives in. I would feel sorry for her if it were not for the very clear and present fact that she has disgraced her son Casey who chose to go into the military and chose to go to Iraq. I am sorry Casey died. No mother should ever lose a son or daughter, but not all mothers or fathers act like that witch.

Every word that proceeds out of her mouth is like cyanide. Her words poison and how thinking people continue to believe the warped rhetoric spewed from her potty mouth is beyond comprehension. Well, lets just say it is beyond the comprehension of any thinking and reasonable person.

You hate the war in Iraq, you hate the president, you even like Nancy Pelosi...I can live with that, but I cannot continue to live with the likes of the moronically insane Cindy Sheehan's of this world.

Anti-war activist Cindy Sheehan on Monday moved another step - actually several thousand of them - toward carrying out her promise to run against House Speaker Nancy Pelosi because the California Democrat won't consider impeachment proceedings against President Bush.

Sheehan and about 200 other war protesters began walking from Arlington National Cemetery to the Capitol Hill office of Rep. John Conyers, chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, where any impeachment proceedings would begin. Sheehan said she would ask Conyers to initiate impeachment proceedings against both Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney.

"Impeachment is not a fringe movement, it is mandated in our Constitution; Nancy Pelosi had no authority to take it off the table, " Sheehan told her group of orange-clad activists Monday. "If Nancy Pelosi doesn't do her constitutionally mandated job by midnight ... I will announce that I'm going to run against her."

Across the street, about 20 people demonstrated against Sheehan and the other anti-war protesters.

Sheenhan, whose 24-year-old son Casey was killed in Iraq, has been saying for two weeks that she would seek to oust Pelosi from office by running against her as an independent in her San Francisco district if Pelosi didn't change her mind by July 23 on trying to impeach Bush.

Conyers, D-Mich., introduced a bill last term calling on Congress to determine whether there are grounds for impeaching Bush. Pelosi has steadfastly dismissed any talk of impeachment, saying Democrats should focus their efforts on ending the war in Iraq. (Source)

    It was the kiss!

Every time I think I have heard it all or read it all something pops up like this. A woman is arrested on "suspicion," not proof, of supposedly kissing a painting by American artist Cy Twombly.

Of course this could only happen in France, or ad least we hope so. She apparently smudged the bone-white painting/canvas with her lipstick. The woman is being accused also of "damage to a work of art." Come on it was just a kiss and a little daba do yah will work wonders on that canvas.

I attended the Art Institute of Chicago on scholarship some years back when I was fresh out of high school and I can tell you for sure it takes a whole lot more that a kiss and a smudge to ruin a work of art.

I don't advise anyone to go around kissing paintings, but come on, she must of really loved the art work to take it to that level. But then kissing a painting to me is like hugging a tree. I wouldn't do either.

A woman has been arrested on suspicion of kissing a painting by American artist Cy Twombly and smudging the bone-white canvas with her lipstick, French judicial officials said Saturday.

Police said they arrested the woman after she kissed the work on Thursday. She is to be tried in a court in the southern city of Avignon on Aug. 16 for "damage to a work of art," judicial officials said.

The painting, which is worth an estimated $2 million, was on display at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Avignon. It is part of an exhibition slated to run at the museum through Sept. 30. Officials did not provide further details on the painting.

Twombly is known for his abstract paintings combining painting and drawing techniques, repetitive lines and the use of graffiti, letters and words.

Born in Lexington, Va., in 1928, Twombly has lived in Italy for nearly a half- century. He won the prestigious Golden Lion award at the Venice Biennale in 2001.

    Little Matthew Rager

    matthew.jpg

I have been encouraging all my dear readers to please visit Matthew Rager's website at CaringBridge.

For those of you who are unfamiliar with Matthew's plight he is a six year old boy that has undergone what most adults never will in their lifetime. He was just operated on approximately three weeks ago because he suffers from a brain tumor.

I updated previously that Matthew's preliminary pathology report did not look good. Gliomas are the worst type of tumor to fight-they are resistant and in most cases deadly. However, we are all believing that he is healed by the stripes of Jesus.

Matthew's mother who has been silent and leaving Eric, Matthew's father, to do the Journal writing finally wrote for the first time yesterday:

I have been silent for too long. Actually, Eric fell asleep at about 8:15, so I will try and fill his shoes tonight.

    -

I just spent the last two hours reading survivor stories from people who were diagnosed with the worst form of brain cancer. Most were given months to live, the people I read about are still alive today because of God, it has been over 10 years for most. Medicine gave them no hope, but when they turned to God they were given hope.

One of the stories contained this hymn, it really hit home with me and has helped me.

"If ever I love Thee, Lord Jesus, 'tis now.

"My Jesus, I love Thee, I know Thou art mine; For Thee all the follies of sin I resign.

My gracious Redeemer, my Savior art Thou; If ever I loved Thee, my Jesus, 'tis now.

I love Thee because Thou has first loved me, and purchased my pardon on Calvary's tree.

I love Thee for wearing the thorns on Thy brow; If ever I loved Thee, my Jesus, 'tis now.

    -

The love I feel for God is keeping me strong and I know that God will keep Matthew close to him during this trial. Sometimes God has to do something big to get your attention; often the world around us distracts us from our true mission in life, to serve and glorify God. Eric and I have been distracted, but we are listening now.

I have complete faith that God will continue to watch over Matthew.

Matthew had another great day! He is running at full capacity, we had several fights today with his brother, all a good sign.

Please show your support and visit Matthew's website. Matthew and his parents need to know that there are caring and loving people out here, that will agree with them by faith, that Matthew will be healed and made whole. They need to know you are praying for them.

It is not much to ask, give a little time and a tiny piece of yourself - visit Matthew now.

Another Bimbo Sex Scandal - OPPS - I forgot it is ok when it is a Democrat

I ran this over at my blog awhile back and thought some of you might appreciate this rant. I also hope it allows you a glimpse of my beliefs and what I rant about at my other place. Let me know what you all think!

It's just another bimbo sex scandal, but some may ask is it? Yes it is. It involves a politician who is enamored by power and a bimbo. Sound familiar? The story broke about the Clinton/Lewinsky sex scandal in 1998.

    clinton-lewinsky.jpg

Okay so I am referring to Telemundo's Maria Bartirom as a bimbo - she is a bimbo. There I said it again. I am truly not impressed with ones stature or education because it does not in many cases equate to common sense.

    Via USAToday:

Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa admits having an affair with Telemundo reporter Mirthala Salinas, but both parties claim that the relationship has not had any impact on their professional responsibilities.

Villaraigosa says he's focused on running the city; Salinas says she gave up covering politics and moved to the anchor desk nearly a year ago. But near the bottom of the Associated Press story is this gem: while Salinas was anchoring the news, she had to read an on-air report about the mayor's separation.

"It is true that I have a relationship with Ms. Mirthala Salinas," the mayor said yesterday. "As I've said I take full responsibility for my actions, and I once again ask that people respect my family's privacy. For my part, I intend to stay focused on my job, and to work as hard as I can every day to be the best mayor I can be."

Will the mayor change his name after the divorce is finalized? After all, "Villaraigosa" is a combination of the mayor's surname -- Villar -- with his soon-to-be ex-wife's surname -- Raigosa. The Los Angeles Daily News, which broke the news of the affair, says Corina Villaraigosa is so upset she wants to change her name back to its original form. As for hizzoner, we'll have to wait and see.

I will not go into all the reasons people should not have affairs, for whatever reasons, there are no good reasons, just excuses. That topic is another article waiting to happen - another time. It would be remiss of me not to add, however, that if women believe they are liberated, or it is liberating to do "just whatever" the hell you want - those women are sadly mistaken. There is nothing liberating about having an affair or allowing yourself to be a poster child for "bimbos."

We all remember the Clinton/Lewinsky sex scandal. To this day it escapes me how Monica Lewinsky came out to be the "only" bad guy - or in this case woman. A woman cannot rape a man and excuse the analogy - but you cannot suck if their is no puck. It is for this very reason I refer to women like Monica Lewinsky and Maria Bartirom as bimbos. These women not only hurt others, but what is so overlooked is just how they hurt themselves and lose all credibility. This may be the way of human nature, but it most certainly is not what was meant by the Seventies slogan; "You've come a long way baby."

Of course their is the indisputable fact that both scandals involve Democrats. Not that that in and of itself says much to their morality or anyone else's - perhaps just coincidental? I wonder why, however, how it is always "excusable when it is a Democrat" - God forbid it be a Republican. Remember what the Democrats were saying when it came to light that Republican, Newt Gingrich, had an affair during the Clinton Impeachment process?

    maria_bartiromo.jpg

LA Weekly reports this of Villaraigosa's media affair:
THERE WAS ONLY ONE television station to watch on the day in mid-June when Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa first broached the subject of his marriage — a disastrous event where he summoned reporters to discuss his split with Corina Villaraigosa, then demanded privacy from those same reporters when they asked about his affairs. That channel was, of course, Telemundo, whose weekday 6 o’clock news is anchored by Mirthala Salinas, the raven-haired beauty who secretly dated the mayor even as his marriage fell apart.

By then, the blogosphere was on fire with rumors that Salinas, a reporter and anchor for KVEA Channel 52, had a long-term relationship with the married mayor. And so it was surreal to see Salinas on the 6 o’clock news introducing the segment on Villaraigosa’s breakup, looking away from the camera while a tiny screen showed Villaraigosa also looking down.

You had to wonder: Was Salinas upset? Did she feel weird announcing the end of the mayor’s 20-year marriage? And most importantly, was this the news or a telenovela? (Oh, right. Those come an hour later. Zorro, anyone?)

On Tuesday, the Los Angeles Daily News finally got confirmation of Villaraigosa’s romance with Salinas, a political reporter who had already dated former council President Alex Padilla, among others. Daily News reporter Beth Barrett, with help from an interpreter, brilliantly went to the most obvious source, Villaraigosa’s mother-in-law, who said that the mayor told his wife that questions about his missing wedding ring were “none of her business.”

    SFGate had this to say:
A statewide poll by a leading Democratic pollster of potential Democratic gubernatorial candidates in April suggests that Villaraigosa, although widely seen as a formidable force in a 2010 gubernatorial race, is hardly unstoppable.

The poll showed that in a potential gubernatorial field, Brown, a former governor, leads the pack with 23 percentage points, followed by a tie between Newsom and Villaraigosa at 12 points and former state controller Steve Westly next at 11 points.

But if Brown, now California's attorney general, decides not to run, the poll showed that Westly and Newsom tied at 15 points, followed by Villaraigosa in third place with 13.

The bottom line: With political rivals knocking at his door, another shocking episode of "Amor Prohibido" could turn the Los Angeles mayor's once-bright political future into a telenovela called "Mi Vida Loca.''

Time will give an account as to how far reaching this news of Villaraigosa's affair while in office will affect him. Of course there is the fact the Rudy Giuliani basically did the same thing and he has yet to be redeemed by Democrats and many Republicans alike. The question is will Villaraigosa be redeemed the way Bill Clinton was or does his fate walk the same fine line as Rudy Giuliani's? Again, time will play this out and reveal what is to be.

    villaraigosa.jpg

In the interim it appears, however, that all will be forgiven - of course, Villaraigosa is a Democrat.

The next question is, does Maria Bartirom face the same ostracizing that Monica Lewinsky did? Either way, as far as these women go, they are bimbos. No common sense at all.

Regarding Villaraigosa - just another novella.

10 Crazy things about me or things that happened to me

It's fun for me to write on different crazies out there. The insane things other people do can be quite funny. But I thought what the hell, why don't I write ten crazy things about me. So here goes!

    1. One time I thought I was dying. I was taking a shower and saw all these spots on the bottom of my feet that looked like bruises. I kept trying to figure out what I had done or if my shoes caused it. So I went and asked my husband if it was normal to have bruises all over the bottom of my feet (like we already know it's not). My husband reminded me I had colored my hair the day before and that the color had dripped all over the bathroom floor, which I had cleaned up by the way. Okay so I was relieved, but like duh! How could I have missed that one--or better yet forgot that it was "hair color?"

    2. I am a perfectionist by nature and will do something over until I believe I have it right or better still perfect.

    3. I love to laugh. I make up zany remarks when I am talking to people that come off the cuff a lot easier than it does for me trying to figure out what to write that you all will think is funny. So I am not trying. But I did decide to just talk to you all instead. I am zany!

    4. One time I was in the super market-okay this is embarrassing-but I know it has had to happen to everyone ad least once in their lives. I passed a silent fart while I was waiting in line. Okay I was relieved it was silent until I noticed it stunk. OMG! I pretended I forgot something, which more than likely gave the clue to all it was me, and went down the nearest isle pretending to look for something I forgot. Yeah I know that is gross, but what the heck it really did happen to me.

    5. I love finding old things and turning them into new treasures. Or like someone will throw out a sewing machine and I will see it, take it home if it is in good shape, test it to see if it works, and if it does, then I store it with all my other finds and have my yearly yard sale of others garbage turned my treasures. I've made good money doing it. Maybe you all would like trying it. It is a lot of fun.

    6. My favorite colors are red, maroon, green, and hunter green. I know they are all in the same color family, but thats me.

    7. If I could celebrate Christmas everyday I would. I have been in love with Christmas since I could remember. Thanksgiving follows second.

    8. One time I was shopping in the mall about ten years ago and I ran into a girl I knew in high school. But she hated me when we were in high school and threatened back then to cut up my pretty face and kill me. So when this chick came up to me in the mall and said, "Hi, Layla Elizabeth?" I pretended I did not know who she was. When she proceeded to tell me I looked just like a girl in high school I casually listened as if I were amused, then politely said to her, "How interesting, I am sorry to disappoint you, but I am not Layla Elizabeth." She then apologized and said it was a case of mistaken identity but was just so stunned how much I looked like her. Heh! Would you admit you were who you are if the person recognizing you threatened to cut up your pretty face and kill you even though it was back in high school? I don't know, maybe you would, but not me. No way!

    9. Talking about high school I was not allowed to graduate with my class because me and a bunch of other girls, who also were not allowed to graduate with our class, ditched a day of school a week before graduation to go to the beach. Now that was a real drag and why to this day I hate Catholic schools. Nothing against Catholics mind you, and I even like nuns, but back in the day those nuns did not have a life-hmmm...I really don't think they have one today either. Do you?

    10. Last but not least, but the end of the 10 until I come up with my next 10 for you is the fact that I am a computer geek. I love being a wannabee techie. I have rebuilt and refurbished computers not for money, just for fun! Well, I am not sure that is how a girl wants to have fun all the time, but it is how I want to have fun sometimes!

That's it until next time. I hope you are enjoying crazy me - I am!

    Duh!

Can you tell the difference between a person and a large toy beaver with two oversized front teeth?

I hope so. Because this lady created an uproar in Germany, had the police summoned who ended up surrounding a van, and for what? Nothing.

Okay, so it was dark outside and maybe she really couldn't see. But how about taking a second look before sounding the alarm and calling in the authorities?

Armed police went into action in the German city of Wuppertal after a woman reported seeing a masked criminal -- but having rushed to the scene, they were surprised to find not a crook, but a large stuffed toy.

The woman was returning late at night to her car in an indoor car park when she saw the suspected brigand through the window of a parked van, police said Thursday.

Though she later admitted to only catching a glimpse in the darkness, she was sufficiently alarmed to alert the authorities.

Armed officers arrived in three cars and surrounded the van. What they found was a large toy beaver, strapped into the passenger seat.

A police spokesman said he struggled to see how the toy, which has two oversized front teeth, could have been mistaken for a person. (source)

I'm struggling too over this one. Hmmm, even being color blind does not fly. So I won't try to figure this one out. Chalk it up to mental illness - yah think?

All I can say about this one is duh!

    Media Insantiy

There has been a lot of news insanity of late. Hillary is ticked because the Pentagon did not stop, drop, and roll when she wanted classified information regarding an Iraq pullout. Then there are all the unending polls - Hillary tops Obama, and Edwards. Of course then you must know that Giuliani tops McCain, Thompson, and Romney. The lovely polls that are wrong half the time have the election won by Hillary beating out Giuliani in 2008.

Wouldn't it be nice if the media did not know something - just once? But the media knows it all and Fox News has become the biggest culprit all the while claiming exemption because they are "fair and balanced." So much for fair and balanced, I mean if you are fair and balanced that means - that says - you are capitulating with the enemies of western civilization.

There is no longer one media outlet that can be completely trusted and Fox News has blown the trust of many Americans. How many more blond haired - blue eyed bimbos report to us our news before we ask are they all cloned?

    faces_bias.jpg

Here is substantial proof of just how biased and liberal our media is. This also serves to prove what lengths they will go to for their liberal causes.

    Via Media Bias Basics:

The Liberal Media Exposed (PDF Report): Formatted, easy-to-print pages detailing the key results of nearly two dozen surveys about media bias. The report also includes quotes from top journalists denying a liberal media bias, plus comments from journalists acknowledging the problem. Updated May 2007.

How the Media Vote. Surveys of journalists’ self-reported voting habits show them backing the Democratic candidate in every presidential election since 1964, including landslide losers George McGovern, Walter Mondale and Michael Dukakis. In 2004, a poll conducted by the University of Connecticut found journalists backed John Kerry over George W. Bush by a greater than two-to-one margin. See Section.

Journalists’ Political Views. Compared to their audiences, journalists are far more likely to say they are Democrats or liberals, and they espouse liberal positions on a wide variety of issues. A 2004 poll by the Pew Research Center for The People & The Press found five times more journalists described themselves as “liberal” as said they were “conservative.” See Section.

How the Public Views the Media. In increasing numbers, the viewing audiences recognize the media’s liberal tilt. Gallup polls have consistently found that three times as many see the media as “too liberal” as see a media that is “too conservative.” A 2005 survey conducted for the American Journalism Review found nearly two-thirds of the public disagreed with the statement, “The news media try to report the news without bias,” and 42 percent of adults disagreed strongly. See Section.

Admissions of Liberal Bias. A number of journalists have admitted that the majority of their brethren approach the news from a liberal angle. During the 2004 presidential campaign, for example, Newsweek’s Evan Thomas predicted that sympathetic media coverage would boost Kerry’s vote by “maybe 15 points,” which he later revised to five points. In 2005, ex-CBS News President Van Gordon Sauter confessed he stopped watching his old network: “The unremitting liberal orientation finally became too much for me.” See Section

Denials of Liberal Bias. Many journalists continue to deny the liberal bias that taints their profession. During the height of CBS’s forged memo scandal during the 2004 campaign, Dan Rather insisted that the problem wasn’t his bias, it was his anybody who criticized him. “People who are so passionately partisan politically or ideologically committed basically say, ‘Because he won’t report it our way, we’re going to hang something bad around his neck and choke him with it, check him out of existence if we can, if not make him feel great pain,’” Rather told USA Today in September 2004. “They know that I’m fiercely independent and that’s what drives them up a wall.” See Section.

Evidence of Bias in News Coverage. The Media Research Center continuously reports on instances of the liberal bias in the mainstream media. Daily CyberAlerts offer a regular roundup of the latest instances of biased reporting, while our NewsBusters blog allows Web users to post their own reactions. Media Reality Check fax reports showcase important stories that the news media have distorted or ignored, and several times each year the MRC publishes Special Reports offering in-depth documentation of the media’s bias on specific issues.

    The insanity marches on.

You think you have heard it all - WRONG

That's right, you think you have heard it all - WRONG! Wrong again! How about your thoughts on "Death & Ice Cream?" Do you even have thoughts on death and ice cream?

Personally I am not too concerned. I figure by the time I am dead ice cream won't matter anymore.

While we are on the subject of food I thought this was interesting. Bags of uneaten fast food helped police bust a couple of counterfeiters.

    Fast food busts counterfeiting ring:

An officer who pulled over a car in January noticed food from several different fast-food restaurants and a large amount of cash, federal prosecutors said.

The officer went back to the restaurants and found that people matching descriptions of those in the car had paid for the food with fake $100 bills, authorities said.

A total of $6,000 in counterfeit bills was eventually found in the car, prosecutors said.

Michele Ann Reynolds, a 35-year-old passenger in the car, pleaded guilty Wednesday to possession of counterfeit money. The driver, Henry Lee Orr, 45, also has pleaded guilty to counterfeiting and is awaiting sentencing.

Well ad least they weren't hungry when they got busted. Talk about dumb.

    Don't Cry Yet

    baby_crying_closeup

Hi everyone. I am Layla Gonzalez. Some of you know me, some of you never heard of me. Some of you probably are thinking who the hell cares who this "Layla Gonzalez" is!

Well, you should care, because I am honored to be taking over Sam's blog while she is away on her hiatus. But don't cry yet!

For those of you readers that do not know who I am here is the scoop. I am a usually serious - quick on the draw - in your face political blogger, writer, and analyst. I am affiliated with the Pajamas Media Network Bloggers. I wish I could tell you I am a biggie like Michelle Malkin, but I cannot. I am just a humble blogger that loves to write, set some wrongs - right and have been fortunate get to know some of the best and brightest bloggers on the Internet. Sam being one of them.

When Sam said she wanted a blog takeover I could not help but offer to do so. There have been so many times at my humble abode I wanted to say things, write things, be funny as hell and joke, but that is not The HILL Chronicles. It would of been out of place.

The Crazy Rants of Samantha Burns gives me an outlet and venue to express my humorous side. I can say things without worrying I will be scrutinized because "that is not what your blog is about, why are doing that here?" Thanks to Sam's trust and faith in me I will be able to hopefully entertain you, make you laugh, make you think, but what I really wish is that I can be almost as good as Sam to keep you coming back.

So don't cry yet and give me chance. I mean it can't be that bad, or could it? Hmmmm.....now that is a scary thought!

If you are interested in getting to know a little bit about me and my serious side you can hop over to my site here and check it out. If you are not into that - cool, come back here because I will be around. Sam is counting on me!

Here's to getting to know you all and having some fun and laughs together. I truly am looking forward to this.

    Cheers!
    Layla
