No I'm not going to review it and p*ss everyone off, lol.

Just staking my claim that I was at the very first viewing of it in my area.

Superman Returns: Boy, That's A Clever Title

Why didn't they just call it Superman IV, or XVI, or whatever the heck number they're at now?

But, that's besides the point.

Yes, I saw the movie.

And, all I can say is that after watching it: I have a hankerin' for some White Castle.

(lol, some of you may get that, some not - just thought I'd share)

Rambo Set To Do Rocky 6

You may have heard that Sly is going to be making Rocky 6. I know, I can't believe it either.

Wnbc.com reports,

"Sylvester Stallone will put on the gloves and climb back into the ring for 'Rocky 6,' according to Production Weekly. Stallone will write, direct and star in the sixth installment, the online magazine reports. Production Weekly said the synopsis of the film is as follows: 'Lonely and at loose ends, retired boxer Rocky Balboa comes out of retirement, intending to fight a few low-profile local fights just to keep his hand in. But when he's approached to fight a match with reigning heavyweight champ Mason 'The Line' Dixon, Rocky's modest little comeback becomes the center of a media firestorm.' Shooting is set to begin in December in Los Angeles"

So, old man Sly in the ring again. He should be down for the count on the first blow at his age, eh.

Perhaps this time, instead of yelling out, "Adrian, Adrian", he'll be shouting, "Adrenalin, Adrenalin. I need some Adrenalin shots to get through this movie".

Heh heh, get it, he's an old man.

New To Theaters

This summer has seen a bunch of bad movies, but finally a feel good family film is out. This movie is guaranteed to make you laugh and cry. Stephen King has a sure fire blockbuster on his hands, and Jack Nicholson is awe-inspiring. This picture is truly stirring and I highly suggest you see it.

Shining

Now if they could have spinned "Red rum" into this clip, I’d have been even more impressed.

Hat-tip: The Spoons Experience – yes, it is all in the editing. Please thank by visiting.

UPDATE: Another film has emerged and it looks scary West Side Story.

Movie: Fantastic Four

I have to admit when I walked into the movie theatre I wasn't expecting the world from this movie. The reviews were mixed, of course with all the negatives coming from reviewers who always shoot down "popcorn" films. Naturally, these reviewers have basked themselves in countless movies they lose the love of simple popcorn films.

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory – PC police beware

Charlie and the Chocolate FactoryLike any parent with deferred-parenting skills might do, I took my kids to see Charlie and the chocolate factory. Having seen the original 1971 version, I have to admit I was eager to see how a great kids story would be modernized as only through the mind of Tim Burton.

Before entering the theater, I knew Tim Burton's new film would be a bit different and likely lean towards the dark genre of films, but what I did not expect was the absolute disregard for political correctness. Being a bit of a movie buff, and having watched many old films, I’ve always enjoyed the stark contrast compared to modern films. Today's films endorse sex, graphic language, and violence, but shy away from anything controversial, which might be condemned by the political correct police.

This film, aimed at children, broke so many PC rules that I wish I had a score card just to keep up. I’m truly unsure of how Hollywood managed to sneak this film out without a protest from some activist group, especially PETA.
